Cynthia has been the Accounting Senior Office Assistant, Notary and Pre-need agent since 2019. She brings 38 years of management experience in administrative positions, working alongside Comptrollers, Vice President’s, Manager’s, and Executive Director’s.
Her most recent love was Director of Volunteer Services in the hospice field encompassing the Dallas Metro-plex area encompassing an 80-mile radius. In that position, she worked with patients and hospice staff to recruit and train volunteers to be with patients, enabling families to have much-needed away time. That position also allowed her to work in many communities alongside the Marketing Liaison’s, Director of Marketing, Executive Director, Director of Nurses and the interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, chaplains’ social workers and more amazing staff.
During her 12 years as the hospice Director of Volunteer Services, Cynthia received the “Volunteer of the Year” award from the Rowlett Seniors group, whom she served for 8 years. Cynthia also served with other volunteer organizations, and led monthly groups for the Alzheimer Association before covid changed the meetings.
Cynthia supports the John P. Brooks Family Funeral Homes and Darst Funeral Home. She assists with Marketing and advertising. Her creative side comes out celebrating our monthly birthday parties for the staff.
