Obituary of Walter Irvin Clements III

Walter Irvin Clements, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, born on September 17, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, entered eternal rest on July 9, 2023. A man of boundless humor and an infectiously charismatic personality, Walter was a beacon of light to all who were privileged to know him. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he spent countless hours cheering for his favorite team, often accompanied by the engaging stories he loved to tell. Walter’s professional journey in the banking sector was marked by his dedication and commitment where he served in marketing. In his retirement, he found joy in golfing, collecting newspapers, and traveling with his beloved wife, Sharon and friends Dave and Noureen. His ability to find happiness in the simple things is a trait that continues to be cherished by those who knew him. Walter’s love for his family was profound, and his home in Arlington, Texas, was a testament to this. Walter leaves behind a legacy of many humorous jokes and laughter. He is survived by his daughter Kathy Beavers and her husband Scott Beavers as well as Sharon’s children Stacia, Michelle, Kelly, Mike and Joe. Walt is also survived by his brother Steven Crowther, his sisters Linda Mathews, Diane O’Callaghan, Joyce Crommett, Nancy Brookins, Sharon Wolfe, Cindy Hartman, and Candace Clements, and his grandchildren Caitlyn Stevens, Ches Stevens and step grandchildren Keisha Gifford and Kortnee Griffin and 7 great grandchildren. He was also “Waltiz” to Sharon’s many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Joyce Holton and father Walter Jr., his loving wife Sharon Clements, his daughter Suzy Golden and his grandson Christopher Stevens. In the words of Mark Twain, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” Walter Irvin Clements has indeed ‘gotten ahead,’ leaving behind an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. His life was a journey of joy, laughter, and love, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts. Please share your cherished memories, stories, and pictures of Walter on his memorial page. Your contribution will serve as a comforting reminder of the wonderful man we were so blessed to know.
