Obituary
Shannon McKee, born on August 16, 1937, in Ardmore, OK, to George and Etta McKee, passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2022 at the age of 84.
Shannon loved sports, played football during his youth and was an avid golf enthusiast. A master carpenter, he enjoyed making anything out of wood and using his hands to create. He was a family man that loved being with his family and dearest friends. Visiting Grand Lake and being with extended family also brought him joy, enjoying the good food, laughter and visiting. Of all, Shannon’s greatest joy was being outside or in his garage on pretty days.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Etta McKee of Ardmore, OK; son, Steven McKee; daughter in law, Debra McKee. Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Amaryllis (Mertie) of the home; son, Robin and wife Cynda of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Donna & husband Rusty McBride of Plano, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
A Graveside service will be held
