Patricia Kaldeen Bock
It is with a tender heart that we celebrate the vibrant and full life of Patricia Bock. Patricia, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully 8 July 2023. Patricia was creative, reliable and an endless source of love and support to all who knew her. As Maya Angelou once penned, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Patricia’s legacy is a testament to this truth, as she left a mark of love and kindness on the hearts of everyone she touched.
Patricia was born in the wonderful city of Chicago, Illinois to the loving home of Kaldeen and Sydney Barrett. Her life was full of cherished moments, among which time spent with family at her home in Mexico was most treasured. Patricia’s passion for nature found its expression in the numerous gardens she tended throughout her life, with the tropical garden at her home in Mexico her most prized.
In 1958, Patricia married John J. Bock, and together they nurtured their love and family in Chicago. Patricia’s love and creativity found an outlet in her cooking, and her beef stroganoff, lasagnas, stews, and chocolate sheet cakes with white buttercream frosting were adored by all who tasted them. Gathering her family for annual trips to visit her best friend Barbara Dittrick on the East coast with six kids in tow was a highlight of many of her young family years. Patricia was very forgiving, held no grudges & would give to those in need with no reservations.
Patricia leaves behind her loving husband John, and her beloved children Marc, Brian, Julianne, Deanne, Michael, Jeffery, and their families. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Fiona, Alastair, Ryan, Robert, Michael, Lindsay, Barrett, Karsen, Harrison, and Brooke.Patricia may no longer be with us but her spirit and the love she shared continues to inspire us.
We will gather to commemorate Patricia’s life Friday, 21 July 2023, 1 p.m. at
Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Rd, University Park, TX 75225.
