Obituary of O’Neal, Roger Keith

Roger Keith O’Neal died at the age of 80 on October 17, 2021. Services will be held at North Dallas Funeral Home on November 3rd, at 11:30am, with burial to follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30pm.  Roger was born February 7, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother Violet O’Neal, his father Jesse Clarence, and his daughter Michelle Weeks.  Roger will be best remembered for serving his country in the United States Army for almost 40 years as a drill sergeant. He was also a published author of the book titled “The Life and Times of Jace Tanner.” Everyone who knew Roger will remember him for the stories of his life while in the military, playing pranks, and telling jokes. It brought him great joy to spend time with his grandchildren and he loved the Lord with all his heart.  Roger is survived by his wife, Frances O’Neal; Children, Lisa Vargas, Bobby and Deanna Price, Joe and Lisa Fleischer, David and Karen Eckols, Kristi Gray, Phillip Foreman, and Kimberly Foreman. He is survived by his six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  Remembrances may be sent to North Dallas Funeral Home.
