Obituary
Mary Ann Johansen, born Mary Ann Dietrich to John and Mary Dietrich on June 13, 1937, passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of March 5, 2023, at the age of 85 years.
She was born in Gering, NE and grew up in Gering and Columbus NE. but spent most of her adult life in Lincoln NE and in Kingwood (suburb of Houston), TX. She started teaching school straight out of High School and never stopped teaching until her retirement in 2004.
She was married for to Chuck for 65 years and never left his side. She, along with Chuck, raised two beautiful daughters, Mary and Mollee, and contributed significantly to the growth, care and education of all four of their grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by Chuck, her family and her friends. They are comforted in the knowledge she is with the Lord in Heaven now.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles (Chuck) K. Johansen, Daughter, Mollee Wallace, Son-in-Law Gary Ash, and grandchildren Brenna Wallace (18), Madeleine Ash (20), Ethan Ash (24) and Alex Ash (24).
