Maria Felicitas Rodriguez

July 15, 1945 –
 April 22, 2023

Obituary

Felicitas was 77 years young currently lived in Carrollton TX with her youngest of 6 and her family. She went to be with Jesus on April 22, 2023, to reunite herself with her parents, sister, Socorro, brother, Fausto, and grandson, Ezequiel Matthew Olvera, Jr.

Felicitas was born on July 12, 1945 in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. To Pedro Fonseca and Juanita Sanchez. She was number 5 of 9 kids, Socorro, Fausto, Victor, Antonia, Felicitas, Juan Manuel, Jose de Jesus, Maria del Carmen and Jose. The best is always in the middle.

She married Ramon Rodriguez SR on Dec 14 1968. She was a mother to 6 kids. 5 Daughters and 1 Son. We all know what that means… he was spoiled.

She was always one that gave to many charities and never asked for anything back. She loved her hot dogs from Sam’s and decafe coffee from McDonald’s with a sausage biscuit. And don’t think about calling her between 6-9pm. That was her novella time and she was not going to pay attention to anything you said. Her favorite saying was don’t eat all that I haven’t had a taste. Even though 90% of the time it went bad before she got to it lol.

She is survived by

Ramon Rodriguez Sr., Becky and Freddy Goytia, Yolanda Rodriguez, Ramon Jr and Laura Rodriguez, Maggie Olvera, Yanira and Cesar Amaya, and Teresa and Romeo Lopez. She had 31 grandkids and 13 great grandkids. Two sisters and four brothers, Victor, Antonia, Juan Manuel, Jose de Jesus, Maria del Carmen, and Jose luis. She had a very large family with cousin’s nephew’s nieces and in laws that I could go on for days.

To you from Mom

The day you see I’m getting older, please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If when we talk, I repeat the same things a thousand times, do not interrupt to say: “you said the same thing a minute ago”…just listen, please try to remember the moments when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.

If I do not want to take a bath, do not be angry, and do not embarrass me. Do you remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a child?

When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and do not look at me that way. Remember, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day.

The day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I am going through.

If I sometimes lose track of what we were talking about or doing, give me the time to remember, and if I cannot, do not be nervous, impatient, or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.

And when my old , my tired old legs do not let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked.

When those days come, don’t feel sad… just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for all of you. I just want to say, I love you all so much.

It is a special bond that spans the years and will heal the heart with time. Through laughter, worry, smiles and tears
A sense of trust that can’t be broken. A depth of love sometimes unspoken. A lifelong friendship built on sharing hugs and kisses.

My Tia Felix was a wonderful woman. I can tell her strength has passed down to all her children. I always felt so loved and welcomed whenever I would see her. I can tell she was a person that was honest about her feelings and I know she loved me and my family.
She has made a big impact in my life and I’m thankful God allowed me a chance to have such a wonderful Tia.

Tia, what can I say except that I’m gonna miss you so much. You helped me so much when I 1st became a single mom. You took care of my girls before and after school. And when I went to pick my girls up every day after work you always welcomed me with that hug and that kiss. You always had some kind of snack to offer me with a drink. We could talk and laugh for hours. Sometimes I stayed at your house for like 2 hrs before I went home. And haci you would walk us outside and we could keep talking all night. My mom always said I was loud like you. I always took it like a compliment. Now I’m gonna have to be loud for the both of us. I’ll be loud with pride just for you. I pray that you knew that every time I gave you a hug and a kiss and told you I loved you that you know I meant it..cuz I knew in my heart that you loved me…I’ll miss you and I’ll love you forever. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR BEING HERE FOR ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU THE MOST. May you rest in peace 🙏..Love your neice BEATRIZ FONSECA RIVAS

"I highly recommend this funeral home and crematorium; when I had to make and pay for my brother’s arrangements across state lines, Evelyn Montonya, in particular, demonstrated both compassion and professionalism and made a very sad and difficult situation much easier. Many thanks."

"The unexpected passing of my husband was a very difficult and trying time for my boys and I. I had the good fortune of having Abel walk us thru this process. Working with him was such a weight off my shoulders. He was professional, so polite and helpful. The service was beautiful – never did I feel rushed or like just another customer. They gave me the time I needed and I appreciate that so much! Also Mr. Brooks took special care of my husband as he is a fellow mason. I would highly recommend working with Abel and North Dallas Funeral Home."

"As soon as the call was made to Mr. Wayne Baxter all of my brothers final needs were taken care of. They walked me through what to expect the timeline and even dealt with the cemetery and the grave diggers. I was a hot mess due to my brothers sudden and unexpected passing. The experience was seamless and made it easy for my brother’s friends and family to say their last goodbyes. They even had the size to accommodate such a large group that showed up . The package deals that they offered were cost-effective and didn’t break my bank account. They included extras and accommodations that other funeral homes charged extra for. All the staff was amazing including Mr. Don Dodd . I can not thank them enough for all their help."

Dear John,

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Thank you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you.

Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad.

Love, The Gillilands
