Obituary of Joseph John Golas, Jr.

Beloved husband for 35 years to Michal Ann Golas and loving father and grandfather to Megan Golas and Madison. Survived by brother Mark (Alice), North Carolina.

Predeceased by brother Alan Golas and parents Joseph and Theresa.  Joe leaves his New York, Texas and Canadian family and many friends to mourn his passing. He worked in the travel industry for over 30 years and ran his own contracting business.

He was a lifelong Buffalo Bills devotee deep in Cowboy country (Go Bills!) and never missed watching a game.

He loved chatting up folks in a bar over a cold one and enjoyed cruising and  watching the sunset in the Caribbean.

Godspeed my love until we meet up again at our Soggy Dollar Bar.

Memorial service to be advised.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Joe’s passing and can’t believe he’s gone. While we had a great working relationship during my years in Dallas, it was our close personal friendship that I will cherish forever. He was a wonderful genuine person with a terrific sense of humor. While I hadn’t seen him in many years, I will never ever forget him, and will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Michal and Megan, and wish you peace and comfort during this very difficult time.
