OBITUARY FOR JOEL FRAYNE
Frayne, Joel passed away January 18, 2022 after a very brief illness; it was totally unexpected. He was born in Wichita, Kansas December 9, 1942. After leaving Wichita in approx. 1970, he ended up in the State of Texas and finally Carrollton, Texas. Joel served in the National Guard and after his unit was activated, he was sent to Germany and served in a NATO group. He became a Staff Sargant in the U. S. Army. Joel worked in sales most of his life. Among other venues, he worked in the shoe industry and then in the food industry for a number of years. He had a great sense of humor and was well liked by everyone. He loved to play golf and played with a number of other golfers who formed the “Forple Club”. He is survived by his wife, Myrna, and sister-in-law, Janet Holmes of Wichita, Kansas, his niece Carrie Frayne Davis of McKinney, Texas and several other nieces and nephews.

Testimonials

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Thank you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you. Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad. Love, The Gillilands
