Dad, how do I say goodbye to someone who made me feel safe and so comfortable in your presence? You were a good man with so many good qualities.
As a grandpa, whenever you visited us in New York – you left a freezer full of food, cabinets bursting with the kids’ favorite snacks and hearts full of love for their Texas grandpa!
You loved your grandkids but what endeared you most to me was your love for Marilyn. I can only describe it as fierce – you loved her, protected her and admired all of her wonderful qualities.
As a parent and father-in-law – you guided us in a firm and confident way that allowed all of us to shine when we were along side of you.
I will miss you.

The Werner’s were my neighbors when they lived in Orange. I couldn’t have asked for better neighbors and friends. We even attended the same church, St. Francis. I missed them when they moved, and am saddened by Jim’s death. My deepest sympathy to Marilyn, their children and grandchildren.
