Obituary of Jacquelin Ann Parra

Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend

Jacquelin Ann Parra, age 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, March 11, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jacquelin “Jackie” was born in Dover, New Jersey, on July 8, 1946, to parents, John “Jack” and Virginia Dorothy Bradley. She had four brothers, Raymond, Paul, Peter, and Keith.

In 1963 she met and married her soul mate, Luis “Lou” Parra, who was the love of her life. Together they had an exciting life, blazing new trails across the country before being joined by two daughters.

She was a bookkeeper and office manager. After retirement, she enjoyed spending more time on her many interests and hobbies. She had a passion for quilting. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She touched so many lives and was a beautiful, generous, intelligent, wonderful woman. She was the foundation and heart of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lou Parra, her daughters, Maryann Parra and Jenni Welch, her son-in-law Roger Welch and her 3 grandchildren, Melody Parra, Allison Welch, and Preston Welch.

She was preceded in death by her father Jack, her mother Virginia and her brothers Peter and Raymond.

A memorial service will be held at the home of Lou and Jackie Parra. The date will be determined at a later time.

It is impossible to describe the greatest woman who ever lived in a few short paragraphs. Mom made me the woman I am today. She was the heart and soul of our family and we will miss her more than any words can ever say.
