Grace E Evola-Bourlon
Obituary
Grace E Evola-Bourlon, who valiantly fought stage 4 colon cancer for 12 years, passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 57.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard, her son Daniel and daughter-in-law Montana, daughter Emily, parents Nick and Marena Evola, siblings Johanna, Philip, Ronald, and Paul, as well as her beloved cats Oso Negro (Monkey), Bubba, and Lil Bit. She also cherished her grand animals, Peaches, Cheeto, Snickers, Jellybean, Mia, Houdini, Olive, Neko, and Linden.
Grace was a talented crafter, who poured her heart into sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, jewelry-making, and even had gotten into woodturning and welding. She had a craft room and a formal sewing room in her home, where she spent many hours creating beautiful and unique items. Later in life, she obtained her motorcycle endorsement and enjoyed riding her Can Am Spyder across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Grace worked her way through Navarro High School and Bauder Fashion College, supporting herself as a grocery checker. She then worked for a homebuilder before spending her last 35 years as an adjuster for insurance companies and third-party administrators.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a local animal shelter or rescue group, or to the MD Anderson Cancer Center www.mdanderson.org, where Grace participated in clinical trials as part of their mission to eradicate cancer.
Testimonials

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Thank you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you. Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad. Love, The Gillilands
