Obituary of
Gail Seto
Gail Seto was born June 10, 1935 in Manistique, Michigan to Eugene and Irene (Platta) Sprague. She graduated from Wausau High School, Wausau, Wisconsin in 1953. She attended the University of Wisconsin Extension Center in Wausau, Lawrence College, Appleton, and graduated from Berea College, Berea, Kentucky in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. In 1968, she earned a Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma. In the fall of that year she was employed by the Norman Public Library as a reference librarian. She worked there until her retirement in September of 1997.
She married Dr. Frank Seto on September 3 1955 in Wausau, Wisconsin. They moved to Norman, Oklahoma in 1965 from Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
While living in Oklahoma, she was a member of McFarlan Memorial United Methodist Church; Two in One Sunday School Class, the Church Library Council and the Bonus Years Group. She held professional memberships in the Oklahoma Library Association and the American Library Association.
Mrs. Seto was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Frank of the home; two daughters, Carol Morin, Copper Canyon, TX., and Linda Seto, Carrollton, TX.; grandchildren Brad Corn and Melissa Luhrs, TX.; great grandchildren Ahna Luhrs, Jordan Luhrs and Benjamin Pingel, TX.; a sister Enid Reed, Wausau, Wisc.; Brothers, Douglas Sprague and his wife, Linda of Phillips, Wisc., and Donald Sprague and his wife, Joanne of Wausau, Wisc.; and a niece and six nephews.
