Evangelina Ortega DeLeon of Carrollton, Texas passed away after a long battle with breast cancer on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 63 years old. She lived her life full of happiness and loved to share her smile and her love with longtime friends and family. Evangelina was born on January 3, 1959 in Monterrey, Mexico and later came to the US to begin her life.

She leaves behind her husband Armando DeLeon; daughters Imelda Emerson and Aracely Alvarez; son in law Jorge and soon to be son in law Mike; grandchildren, Trinity, Madison, Jasmine, Stone, Aiden, Bella, Lauryn, Taylor and Trey. Her siblings; Oscar, Noe, Elvira, Noemi, Gloria, Maricela, Rosa and Alfredo.

Evangelina was 1 of 12 children and learned that family was her everything. She loved hosting people and cooked meals that people talked about for days. She enjoyed to travel with her husband as they went on many adventures including camping, beach life and Vegas. Her addictive smile and kind soul captured the heart of many. When not out having an occasional frozen margarita you could find her at the mall in Macy’s, one of her favorite spots. She wanted to be remembered for all the good she brought to peoples lives and she will be dearly missed.

Evangelina is preceded in death by her parents Jose Ortega Trejo and Elvira Ortega Loza; her siblings Lupe, Ubaldo and Delia.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to North Dallas Funeral Home, A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 1,2022 at 2:30pm at North Dallas Funeral Home located at 2710 Valley View Ln, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.

Evangelina Ortega DeLeon de Carrollton, TX falleció después de un lucha larga contra cáncer el 27 de Septiembre 2022 in su casa a lado de su querida familia. Ella tenía 63 años. Vivió una vida llena de alegría, siempre la entrabas con su sonría y le tenía un amor emenzo para sus amistades y familia. Evangelina nació el día 3 de Enero 1959 en Monterrey, Mexico y de adolescente se vino a los Estados Unidos.

El deja su esposo Armando DeLeon; hijas Imelda Emerson y Aracely Alvarez; yerno Jorge y pronto de ser yerno Mike; nietos Trinity, Madison, Jasmine, Stone, Aiden, Bella, Lauryn, Taylor y Trey. Hermanos Oscar, Noe, Elvira, Noemi, Gloria, Maricela, Rosa y Alfredo.

Evangelina era una de doce hermanos/hermanas y aprendió que familia era muy importante. Le encantaba tener fiestas y cocina tan rico que la gente hablaba de eso por días. Tan bien le gustaba viajar a lado de su esposo que iban al campo, la playa y Vegas. Su sonrisa adictiva y tierno ser capturó el corazón de muchos. Cuando no estaba bebiendo una margarita de vez en cuando la podías encontrar en el Macy’s una de sus tiendas favoritas. Quería ser recordada por todo lo bien que le trajo a la gente y será extrañada mucho.

Evangelina es precedida en la muerte de sus papas José Ortega Trejo y Elvira Ortega Loza; sus hermano/hermanas Lupe, Ubaldo y Delia.

Los servicios funerarios se han confiado a North Dallas Funeral Home. Se llevará a cabo un servicio funerario el sábado 1 de octubre de 2022 a las 2:30 p. m. en North Dallas Funeral Home ubicada en 2710 Valley View Ln, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you.
