REFLECTIONS ON THE LIFE OF OUR MOM, ENRIQUETA

ā€œQuetaā€ was not only a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt to her nieces and nephews and home maker, she was a phenomenal person who dedicated her whole life to caring for her family, friends & strangers and was well known and recognized in the community for her giving and loving heart. ā€œQuetaā€ gave all of herself so unselfishly, loved and cared for many kids from birth to school going age, she provided care for these kids in the comfort of her own home. She would prepare meals to ensure that they were well fed, taught them basic life skills, and made sure that the kids were clean, she taught them discipline.Ā  She also worked closely with Texas Health & Human Services due to the work and service that she provided. Even in those Government departments, she was also well loved, recognized, and respected. Parents of the kids loved ā€œQuetaā€ unconditionally. She treated one and all like they were her own. They entrusted their kids in the hands of ā€œQuetaā€

Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids all have such fond memories of ā€œQuetaā€. You would never leave her home without having eaten a meal and got all the loving care that a mom and grandmother would give and share.

We will always have great memories of her, her laugh, funny, great sense of humor, very straight forward and would let you know exactly how she felt.

In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her Soaps, relaxing when she found the time, always called to see if everyone was doing well, thatā€™s just how we remember her.

Gonzalo (her husband) was a great man and a great provider, took care of her, he spoilt her with anything that she wanted or needed, they both traveled extensively, her kids, grandkids and great grandkids saw and remember what a loving couple they were, and they set a good example of how a husband loves their wife so unconditionally. Even after being together for 63 years, they could not be far away from each other. They constantly worried about each other, even with her being hospitalized, they both worried that each were okay. He took care of her until the end of her life.

ā€œQuetaā€ you will be dearly missed, but we will all have great and loving memories of you and the time that we spent together.

You are now resting in peace and are pain free.

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his nameā€™s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before
me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.ā€

My condolences on the loss of your mom. She was a kind and loving person. I remember back in days when we were younger her sitting in the backyard and I would be walking down to the lake, she would tells us to be careful and take Ricky with yā€™all. She had to remind him to behave and not be so loud and she would just shake her head and laugh. RIP Mrs. Chavez ????ā™„ļø
