Betty Jean (Porter) Cason was known by her family and friends as Betty, Jean, Moma, Nan,

friends. She was a person you could always depend on to welcome you with open arms, a kind
word, and definitely a prayer with some anointing oil.

Sacrament and Sacred Hearts Church of Shreveport, Louisiana. After relocating to Texas, she

transition to the Lord on September 6, 2022.
Betty entered a union of marriage to Vernon Cason Sr., and four children were born to their
union. Three sons, Vernon Jr. (Sonny), Allan (Baba), Patrick, and one daughter, Lesha. She
also raised her first grandchild, Caronda, as her own.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lara and Sammie, her mother Emma
and father Wherlen, her beloved son Vernon, Jr. (Sonny), and two grand fur babies, Jessie and
Jack.
