Leland (Lee) Roy Beavers, 68, of Carrollton passed away unexpectedly on 11 December 2021 from heart failure due to COVID pneumonia. Born in Reno, NV, Lee grew up in San Antonio, TX where most of his siblings still reside. He excelled in the commercial electrical field for Humphrey & Associates, Inc. for 40 years, working his way up from an electrician’s helper field work to Director of Estimating. Lee’s role in the electrical construction industry formed many lasting friendships and bonds among his peers and within the Humphrey family along the way. He was also a long-time participant in several public support groups in the area, mentoring and helping others through life’s challenges. He made quite an impact on many lives through his devoted and caring personality. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, owning several Harley Davidson’s and other “toys” over the years. He was passionate about riding, and belonged to several riding groups - motorcycle, Mustang, and Jeep. Lee just enjoyed “The Ride”, taking trips and enjoying all the outdoors had to offer. Lee will be dearly missed and always remembered. Lee was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Lucille Beavers, and his sister, Mary Ann Burres. He is survived by his daughter, Regina, son, Joshua, granddaughters, Heather and Destiney, grandson, Jacob, great-grandsons, Orion, Jaxen, and Jace, and brothers Richard, Danny, Robert, David, Stephen, and Albert. He is also leaving behind his beloved four-legged best friend and companion, Shelby.
All of Lee’s loved ones are requested to join us at a memorial service honoring him at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship at 4141 International Pkwy, Carrollton, on Tuesday, 21 December 2021, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Operation Kindness in memory of Lee and his love of dogs.
