Obituary
Arah Dell Bias of Rockwall, Texas went home to the Lord on June 18, 2014 after a lengthy time being afflicted with Alzheimers.
She was born November 23, 1924 to Clarence “Dutch” & Iva Grace Wikerson in Yawkey, W.V. Dell retired from the U.S. Government. She resided in LaMarque, then in Texas City for 61 years before moving to Rockwall , Texas in 2010.
Dell loved the arts, being active in church where she was a choir member for many years, avid reader, Houston Rocket fan, enjoyed crocheting, and was quite the seamstress. She was a member of First Baptist LaMarque, then First Baptist TX City. She was blessed with 71 years of a wonderful marriage. She was a loving wife, mother, and Me-Maw to her only grandchild Jason that she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie “Al” Bias Sr., her son Leslie A. Bias II, parents Clarence “Dutch” and Iva Grace Wilkerson, two sisters, and one brother.
Survived by her son Leslie A. Bias III and his wife Deborah Bias of Rockwall, TX, grandson Jason Bias of Rockwall, TX., two sisters, Carol Louise Smith & brother in-law Bill Smith, sister Sue Midkiff and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Graveside services to be held at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the Alzheimers Association in her memory for a cure.
