Testimonials

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Thank you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you. Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad. Love, The Gillilands

Dear Kirk, Kellie, Melinda, & Sam – The air left my body when I saw Matt’s obituary in the KC Star today. I can’t tell you how many times I think about all the sound technicians I trained at Timothy, because they were “my” kids. I love each and every one of them. I loved working with Matt. What a neat young man! I’m so sorry for your loss. This saddens my heart so much for you. Please, know I’ll keep all of you in my prayers, as you try to adapt to life without Matt. Thank God, we’ll see him in heaven someday, and it will be a great reunion. My deepest sympathy to all of you. – Linda Kueck
Kellie, Kirk, Melinda & family,
We are so sorry for your loss. From what Aunt Reita had told us about Matt, you should be very proud. Thank you for allowing Matt to serve our country.
I want you to know that we kept Matt in our prayers through this extended illness. I am sure that he is now without pain, and in a better place.
With all our love.
May God grant you peace and comfort in His promise of eternal life for all who know Jesus as Savior. You are all in our prayers.
Love, Bob & Jan
We knew Matt in El Paso and enjoyed his pleasant personality. We prayed for him during his difficult time, and send our love to Kellie, Kirk, and Melisssa.
Thinking of you and sending our love and prayers during this very difficult time. Matt is now in the arms of JESUS and will be waiting to welcome us all in someday! God bring you and your family the peace and comfort that only HE can give.
Remembrance
by Cindy Edwards
The night follows day, the moon in the sky
The world keeps on turning
It goes and it comes, it comes and it goes again
Which ever direction nobody knows
The wind in the sails, water covers the earth
The day of your birth and the day of your death
Mile after mile and after a while the warmth of your heart
The shine of your smile, the memories of love that’s all we have left
Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break, all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart.
We all stand beside you ,we all love you still
We’re missing you now and forever we will
We sing and we talk the world in our hands
We run and we walk while beside us you stand
For those who remain don’t let your love wait
When they’re no longer here it’s already too late
So we roll the days over again and again
And where we have ended, it’s where we begin
Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break, but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart.
The years may wipe out many things
but some they will never wipe out
Like memories of those happy times
when we were all together.
And Yes — stars they come and light — yes they bring
The miracle of life, a beautiful thing
We know not where we’re going, we just know where we’ve been
Remembrance is a golden chain
Rita,Kellie and family, So sorry for your loss. Prayers to lift you up with God’s precious love. Let your wonderful memories give you comfort and smiles.
I never in a million years imagined id meet some one like Matt he had the diggest heart and accepted people for who they were. He became my best friend and brother. He was always there to catch the tears as they fell make me smile after i was done crying. There was never a moment he didnt make me smile. He always made sure his friends and family were taken care of. I will always hold a special place in my heart for him. I am so glad to have met him and known him. He was a great person. Fair winds and following seas matt we have the watch down here.reat easy and fly high. I love you with all my heart
Kirk, Kellie, Melinda, and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I too read Matt’s obituary in The Star, and feel such a deep sadness for all of you. I didn’t know you’d moved from Blue Springs, but had often thought about Matt through the years since he was in my first grade class at James Walker. He was such a nice kid! I’ll always remember his “Round ’em up and move ’em out! (That’s what my dad says!)” As a mom, I can only imagine the suffering you are experiencing, and my prayers go out for you. I hope that time and wonderful memories will ease your grief.
I am grateful for the life of Mr. Lobaugh. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
The first day Matt walked into the VFW, we knew we had a new friend and brother. I don’t think that I have ever seen anyone assimilate into the family so quickly. He was so excited when he joined the motorcycle group, and his face just light up the first time he put on his vest. I can truly say that Matt was the nicest person I’ve ever met. At the VFW, we are used to seeing our family members passing on, but loosing Matt has broken our hearts. Our deepest sympathy to Kirk, Kellie, Melinda and Sam.
To me words cannot describe a best friend. I’ve known Matt for a very long time we grew up together in the Blue Spring area. Matt and I have been best friends since kindergarten. Matt was a one of a kind friend that will always be in my thoughts. If it was not for him me being a shy person to girls when we were in school I just might have never met the love of my life Heather that he asked out for me one day on the school bus. I thank him every day for that. My wife and I have been married almost 10 years now and together for almost 15 years again I thank Matt. I will miss talking to you all those times when we would play call of duty on the Xbox and would just trash talk all the players. Heaven has gotten an Angel and I hope he is looking down on his family every day to keep them safe. Matt I love you buddy and miss you.
My deepest sympathies to the Family. Thank you so much for his service to our Country! We pray that the knowledge of Matt being now with GOD helps all his family through this time of sorrow.
Our Thoughts and Prayers
David, Cynthia and Alex
Matt was such a bright light at the VFW. He always had a kind word and funny anecdote, no matter how he was feeling. We will miss him so much. RIP my friend.
