Molina, Jr, Alberto

Obituary

Alberto Molina, Jr. was born April 22, 1967 in McKinney Texas to Alberto Molina, Sr. and Marina (née Lopez) Molina. Alberto was raised in McKinney and graduated McKinney High School in 1985. He spent his entire life in his beloved hometown until relocating to Garland, Texas in the spring of 2016.

Alberto was married to his longtime childhood friend, high school sweetheart, and love of his life, Norma (née Ayala) Molina until her passing in December 2014. Losing her was very hard on him…he had a lifetime enjoyment of cheering on his favorite sports teams & collecting autographs from his favorite players, especially his Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed rocking out to his favorite bands most notably his 80s rock (Van Halen, GNR & Motley Crue), re-painting sports figures, doing photo edits & doing his own custom framing. These hobbies all kept him busy until he was reunited with Norma.

Alberto is preceeded in death by his parents Marina and Alberto, Sr., little sister Monica (Molina) Cruz, and loving wife Norma. He is survived by his daughters Melanie Molina and Kristina Molina, little brother and built in best friend, Ricardo Molina, nieces Alex Cruz and Marina Molina, and his beloved 3 cats, Gibbsy, Selina K, and Harley Q.  He will be very missed. As Jason Aldean sings in a song Alberto loved, “let’s not say goodbye…I’ll see you when I see you.”

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at North Dallas Funeral Home 2710 Valley View Lane Farmers Branch, TX 75234 at 4:00PM

    Al,
My buddy and brother I will definitely miss our debates about our favorite sports teams. Our talks about life and the similarities in lives even though we grew up 1500 miles apart. Bro it’s been awhile since we saw each other but we never fell out of step when we linked back up. I am going to miss you my friend especially now that football season has started. Rest easy with your lovely wife bro. Love you always brother.

    Daddy,
What am I going to do without you? I thought I would be old when you left us. My heart is shattered and I miss you so much. You were the BEST Daddy we could ever ask for. You taught us so much and you were my go-to guy for all my life questions. Although I’m glad you are with Mommy again and in a better place than anyone on earth, it’s going to take time for me to accept that. I will see you again. Rock out with Eddie and save me a seat. Tell everyone “hi” from me. I will love you and miss you always.

    Your “Baby Girl”

"I highly recommend this funeral home and crematorium; when I had to make and pay for my brother’s arrangements across state lines, Evelyn Montonya, in particular, demonstrated both compassion and professionalism and made a very sad and difficult situation much easier. Many thanks."

"The unexpected passing of my husband was a very difficult and trying time for my boys and I. I had the good fortune of having Abel walk us thru this process. Working with him was such a weight off my shoulders. He was professional, so polite and helpful. The service was beautiful – never did I feel rushed or like just another customer. They gave me the time I needed and I appreciate that so much! Also Mr. Brooks took special care of my husband as he is a fellow mason. I would highly recommend working with Abel and North Dallas Funeral Home."

"As soon as the call was made to Mr. Wayne Baxter all of my brothers final needs were taken care of. They walked me through what to expect the timeline and even dealt with the cemetery and the grave diggers. I was a hot mess due to my brothers sudden and unexpected passing. The experience was seamless and made it easy for my brother’s friends and family to say their last goodbyes. They even had the size to accommodate such a large group that showed up . The package deals that they offered were cost-effective and didn’t break my bank account. They included extras and accommodations that other funeral homes charged extra for. All the staff was amazing including Mr. Don Dodd . I can not thank them enough for all their help."

Dear John,

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Tha you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you.

Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad.

Love, The Gillilands
