  8. Carl Wildrick says:

Steve worked in my group since 2006 when he joined TDK. No matter what type of day he was having, he remained upbeat and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He seemed to have a knack for finding the sunny side of any situation.
We shared lab bench space during a large portion of these past 15 years, so we talked frequently. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and family. I heard about youth sporting events, his visits to Ohio and Houston, and what he and Cynthia were up to. It was obvious what he deeply cared about in life was his family and relationships.
A great guy who is already missed. It was a pleasure to know him. I offer my deepest condolences.

  9. Jin He says:

Last time I seen Steve in Person was on June 4, 2021. Although Steve physically looked a little bit weak, but mentally, he was really strong. He said to us that he would like to visit Grand Canyon. He also mentioned that he was taking care of his girl friend who just had surgery. That tells me Steve was a very kind and strong human being!

Last 16 years, Steve served as electrical engineer with extra responsibilities on product safety certification. Steve did great job. He developed a close relationship with UL and VDE engineers. One of the German VDE engineers (Gunther) loves to have Japanese Sushi food whenever he came here, which made Steve to become a Sushi food lover as well. They enjoyed to visit Japan House in Plano a lot.

When TDK Lambda held a global safety engineering meeting at Nagaoka, Japan 2.5 years ago, I knew it would be great for Steve to go. I selected Steve to represent TLA AC-DC Product group. I was right, Steve had great time in Japan because I reviewed and approved his expense report šŸ™‚

Steve and I (also Prince Charles) always celebrated our birthday together last 16 years, and I have and will continue to remember Steve on my birthday for the rest of my life.

Steve had been a very nice guy for all those years from the day one we hired him, and made a lot of contributions. We all missed him a lot, and wish Steve have no more pains, no more Chemos, and be with the God in happy land eating Sushi / Sashimi often.

Finally. let me also share some of the condolence comments I received from our colleagues from TDK Lambda Japan and TDK Japan including our great friend and CEO/President Yashiro san who was an expat in Dallas for 3 years, Mark Takagi san who worked at Dallas Technical Center with Steve for 5 years as expat, other expats and friends.

One day, I went to office with green color T-shirt then Steve praised me by saying you know well today is St.Patrick’s Day. If my memory is correct, Steve taught me to wear green color at St.Patrick’s Day. Steve is always very kind and nice guy! H.Yashiro (CEO/President, Expat)”

“Thank you for sharing the news. Iā€™m so sorry to hear that. He is too young for passing. I remember that I played golf with him at the same team of TDK Innoveta competition. He was good guy. May he rest in peace. Mark Takagi (Senior Manager of TDK EV Department, Expat)”

In the nutshell, Steve was a very nice guy, and he will be sorely missed!

    Rest in Peace, Steve.

  10. I still remember the first year working together with Steve on a project and safety tests. He is humble and willing to help colleagues in labs and in document preparation. He has hope in both work and life, and I believe he is in Heaven with endless joy. I really miss him!

  12. Steve was a great guy! He was always happy go lucky with his Happy Friday when we would gather around the coffee pot. I know he loved spending time with his kids and grand kids. Steve will be sorely missed.
