Testimonials

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Tha you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you. Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad. Love, The Gillilands

I worked with Edna for many years at Ebby.Edna was a very talented lady, her garden was beautiful, her baking was always delicious! She taught me so many things about accounting and how we could really balance our banks to the PENNY. We enjoyed taking many housewalks together and even some garden walks. Many times she would surprise me (in the spring) with a beautiful bouquet of purple iris from her garden, purple being my favorite color and those flower petals were just like velvet. Edna was always willing to help any one at the office and I know everyone loved her as much as I did. We shared many happy occasions and many sad. I will always cherish her friendship and am so sorry I couldn’t make her service. I believe Susan is her daughters name and I would love to have her e-mail me her address. My sincere prayers go out to Edna’s family or which I heard so much about when we worked together. I know how much she will be missed. Sincerely, Barbara Finnigan
I worked with Edna in the accounting department at Ebby Halliday. She was a shining example of professionalism, integrity, godliness, and compassion. She was not only very thorough in her work but also very knowledgeable and creative. She was known to be the “resident” baker when we had potluck meals at the office. Her cakes were always delicious. Together we put together a cookbook of recipes by the corporate office employees to sell for a United Way fundraiser. For a few years we also took turns as a committee preparing a meeting room for a monthly luncheon and party. Edna had such wonderful ideas to decorate! She was certainly gifted in hospitality. A few times she also welcomed several of us to her home to see her beautiful garden – and often brought flowers and plants from her garden to decorate the office! I cherish the time I was privileged to have worked with Edna. I know how much she loved her Don and all her family. Her faith was strong when the family suffered loss. Now I pray and trust the hole left of Edna’s passing will be filled with God’s peace, comfort, and love.
My Deepest Sympathy I extend to Edna’s Family.
Edna Stevens was so very kind – the nicest person with whom to work/interact with during our time at Ebby. I was a new sales mgr. at Ebby in 2002 – Edna was always so helpful to me, so patient, and joyful as she worked in Ebby’s Acct. Dept. I enjoyed our conversations about her flowers often on her desk and pictures of her flowers.
I am sad to learn of Edna’s passing. She leaves to us being an exemplary person in which to
exemplify.
