    Patsy,

Just found out about Jim’s passing, and wish to convey our sincere condolences. Betty and I remember fondly our “Honeymoon” experiences in ROK when I served in the 41st Sig. Bn. and Betty was in 1st Sig. Bde; many of those memories include my discussions with “the Cdr” and of course with you both at the Hail and Farewell get-to-togethers. He gave me the opportunity to command the 552nd and later moved me to take the 362nd. It was an honor to serve under his command and learn from his steady leadership, aspects that impacted the rest of my military career, and life in general. May God show mercy and comfort to you and your family through your many memories.

I will always hold the fondest of memories for Jim. He was a caring man who spent several years giving his time to 2 of my 1st grade students who needed extra tutoring, a father figure and role model. He really made a difference in their lives. My sympathy goes out to his family. He will truly be missed!

Tom and I send our sincere sympathy to Patsy and the entire family. We remember Jim fondly through the years with all the times in Lake Geneva and Florida with my parents and later just my mother plus when I lived in Dallas for a short time. Always the gentleman, always determined in whatever he was doing and always someone true to his word. Peace and comfort in your sorrow. Susan

  8. Dan Damon says:

Patsy and Family, My thoughts and prayers are being sent your way. Back in high school days in Peoria my grandmother, who lived with us, never let me leave the house without quoting from John 3-16. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that who-so-ever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. That gives me strength, when I loose friends and family. Love, Dan
