Ballauer, Kathleen "Kathy" Margaret (Lockwood)
Obituary
Kathleen “Kathy” Margaret (Lockwood) Ballauer of the The Colony, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 48.
Kathy was born on January 31, 1972 in Norwich, Connecticut to Thomas and Mary Lockwood. She grew up in Dallas where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and quickly entered the workforce where she developed an amazing work ethic. Kathy worked for multiple companies before she found her true calling in the staffing industry. Most recently, Kathy proudly held the position of Regional Manager for Assist Personnel.
It was the staffing industry that provided the opportunity for her to meet her husband, Scott Ballauer. They were married on November 14, 1995 and had recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. During her 48 years, Kathy lived in Connecticut, Houston, and Dallas where she spent the majority of her life. Outside work, there was nothing more important to Kathy than family and friends. She loved to spoil her nieces and nephews and did so as often as possible. Kathy never met a stranger and made a lasting impression on each and every person that was blessed enough to meet her.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Scott; her mother, Mary Lockwood; her sister, Betty Marceaux and her husband, Josh; their 3 children: Matthew, Jacob, & Maddie; her brother, Tom Lockwood and his wife Laura; Tom’s son from a previous marriage, TJ; and her sister, Betty Silver.
Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lockwood as well as multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins from her extended family.
Services for Kathy will be held at in the Brooks Family Chapel at the North Dallas Funeral Home at 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234. A visitation will be held from 10 am to 12:45pm on Monday, November 30, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on November 30, 2020. Testimonials

It was such a nice pleasure to meet you, and what you had planned for my father just took my breath away. It was so special to hear you tell us how he would just come over to talk with you. I think it brought him much comfort. Tha you for putting that Air Force article of him on your website. I am going to have a replica made of the painting of his plane to give you. Thank you again for all you have done to honor our dad. Love, The Gillilands

I was extremely saddened to learn of Kathy’s passing. I knew Kathy when she provided staffing services for our Distribution Center at Tuesday Morning. Kathy was the consummate professional in every aspect. Her dedication to her job to provide an excellent service for her clients was matched only by her caring and concern for the people she employed to provide that service. She was a friend to all and a role model for others to emulate. We have lost a truly caring person. RIP.
I’ve never known a soul as positive, loving, cheerful, kind, inclusive and generous. Kathy’s smile would brighten any room she entered. Hard working, extremely caring, and on and on. Her absence will be tangible by all who knew her. As she used to say, “love and miss you lots!!!!!” My deepest condolences to Scott, Mary, and her entire family near and far. Until we meet again my friend.
